This is me. I am a writer and journalist in New York City, where I write essays, criticism, and novels. I was born in Berkeley, California, and received my MFA in Writing from Columbia University. For several years I was a staff writer for Newsweek magazine, and I’ve been published lots of other places as well. My young adult novel, IF YOU WERE HERE, came out in January. My husband is a writer, too.
